Talks and Snork!

15 January 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Yay! This is finally happening šŸ™‚
Talk n Snork! January 15 10am, Sandy Bay
Kia ora friends.. as most of you know, the date of January 15 has been set aside for Dr Tim Haggitt to share the findings of Rakino’s marine survey.
The current plan has morphed a little since the good doctor had his cheek fractured by a novice surfer so EMR Experiencing Marine Reserves – EMR have stepped up to provide the guided snorkel support… which is very kind of them. Also along for the day is Councillor Pippa Coom TBC, Alex Rogers EO of Hauraki Gulf Forum TÄ«kapa Moana Te Moananui-ā-Toi and Sue Neureuter our fabulous neighbour from TheNoises
So the plan is….
Tim Talks – 10:15 in The Hall but we’ll be there from about 9:45 for casual chats
11-1:30 EMR will lead guided snorkels for all abilities in Sandy Bay. Gear can be provided.
And together we can share our love for the ocean, we can learn, be inspired and also think about ways the precious marine environment can be protected and preserved. Because remember, one of every two breaths
you take comes from a healthy ocean.
Stay awesome, be kind.
Vaccine passes required.
