Walks, Talks, and Snorks..

Sadly this event has had to be postponed because of America’s Cup racing. When we have more information about a suitable date we’ll publish it. The event will follow the same format however, so read on to whet your appetite!
Walks Talks and Snorks – January 16, Rakino Island
We’re so lucky to have some special guests coming to Rakino in January to give some talks, take people on enlightening walks and also for a guided snorkel on January 16. Join Dr Tim Haggit marine biologist who can also provide insights from the marine survey he led recently around the island. Dr Tim Lovegrove the “bird whisperer” is also coming to share some amazing information about our landbirds and Kerry Lukies from The Northern New Zealand Seabird Trust can share what she knows about our invaluable seabird populations. This will be a fascinating series of informal short sessions so we can learn more about what lives in and around Rakino so we can help care for these precious wonders. (wet weather date, Jan 24).
