Hi Lisa. I just read your article on the kaka.. we live in a bushy area of Otatara..out of invercargill. (Next stop Antartica) and can see Rakiura Island. 2 weeks ago a male and female kaka arrived at our house.. came down and feed on the sugar water we leave out for tuis/bellbirds/wayeyes etc.. and the occasional Kereru will come down also. We were so very excited to see the 2 kaka and our Otatara notice board was very busy when I put photos up. They flew down and sat on our heads. One popped onto my arm and pecked...
